Hello there! I’m Semaj, a February Pisces. I am passionate about art, food, and community. I run this Micro-Bakery from my super tidy home in Baton Rouge, LA. My goal is simple: bake delicious treats, cook some bellyhugging food, and spend the rest of my time hanging with the Lona Rai herself.

She’s the inspiration behind the business and the light of my life. Her presence motivates me to work hard every day.

I learned to cook as a small child, paying close attention to the adults in the kitchen. I would experiment after school to feed my younger sibling while my parents were at work. (Latch-key kids, stand up!) This helped me to curate my impeccable palette.

I found that I could express myself in a new delicious way. As someone who has always had a deep appreciation for the arts, I fell in love with The Culinary Arts.

My devotion to genuine creation allows me to push the boundaries of flavors and textures to further showcase who I am to the world. I hope you enjoy my art.
